From 31 May 2025, Sam Layton will be walking 345 miles to raise awareness of young people’s mental health and to fundraise for Support For Us, a charity she is launching to provide training and resources around young people’s mental health.

Sam is a 27 year old who grew up in London, before moving to Middlesbrough in 2021 and, in 2025, now lives in Manchester.

With 2025 marking 10 years since the hardest year in terms of her mental health, she has decided to set a new challenge for herself.
Across 17 days, she will walk 345 miles around the cities of London, Middlesbrough and Manchester, covering around 20 miles per day.
Every day has a different theme and she will be posting blogs throughout the walk to raise awareness of different aspects around young people’s mental health and her experiences of mental health issues as a young person.
